MPE iX - Data access error...

I've just checked with Development. I was not aware that this applied to
IMAGE. They will be looking into why this was changed and what it will take
to provide the standard IMAGE messages again.

I have a big problem ever since Cognos went to a unified source for the
Powerhouse code (version 8.19).  Very often when there is problem accessing
an
Image database you get the error "Data access error....".  This error can be
caused by NUMEROUS problems.  THIS IS A MAJOR STEP BACKWARDS!!!  Under
earlier
versions, Powerhouse returned the normal Image errors when a problem
occurred
(these were errors generated from Image and told you exactly what the
problem
was).

What is Cognos doing to correct this problem?  When?
