I too have relied heavily on Architect in the past, going back to v5 on
HP3000. When I upgraded to V7 I also got a version of Architect (c4 was the
latest, I think). I had all sorts of problems getting it going, but
persevered with some sometime grudging assistance from Cognos (e.g. they
told me Architect couldn't read QEDIT format source files, where the manual
states quite plainly that it can). I find the v7 version very sluggish and a
lot more cumbersome to use, but it is still a good tool for dictionary
maintenance. I now have to re-load all the Architect data as we chose to do
the Y2K conversion on the dictionary source for expediency.
