Chris,

Since when was swearing, especially the 'F' word, considered mild?

Yes, I do have manuals close to hand: but I knew, and I'd expect
most others to
know, of "INITIAL HEADING" and "LOGONID". You have to have a working
knowledge
of what's in the language, even if you do have to look up exact
syntax,
cautions, warnings etc from time to time. If you don't know these
things you'll
write crappy code from doing things the hard way when they were
built into the
	language for you.

I presumed this was a beginner who hadn't taken the time to read &
digest
the statement summary & function summary.

If a beginner or anyone else is hampered by having no manuals, that
does
suggest a certain carelessness: manuals always ship with the
product, and
should be looked after & made available. I'd be very unimpressed if
I was
expected to get to grips with a new language with no documentation.

I thought "RTFM", as well as the answer, was quite mild.

Now that I *have* looked in the manual, there's other ways to do it:
"set report device printer flag" will do it too (provided you're
using a
	proper operating system ;) ).

	Regards,
	Chris Sharman
