Any help or suggestions please

We are testing 7.10G1 on a VMS Alpha with Oracle Rdb.
The new Y2K features work rather well and with a minimum of effort,
the code of our Quick screens are ready for the next century.
We are using windowing for date fields and this works perfect
in the input fields (>=90 is 19; <90 is 20).

But we found out that the windowing doesn't work in the
output phase of QTP :

__________________________________________
access ...
item t_date_6 vmsdate = nconvert("990617")

outut filexxx add update
item datefield final t_date_6
__________________________________________

In this case the windowing doesn't work, but the default
century is added as the century. (20 in our datadict)

I looked in the manuals and found out that windowing
only works in input fields. Why windowing doesn't work
in this case so that I have to change the qtp sources?
[ADDCENTURY ( t_date_6, CENTURY (t_date_6) ) works]

Or is there a (hidden) setting that can make the windowing work
in this case (I hope there is)?

Thanks for any help you can offer.
Henk
