You can invoke TPU in batch mode by:
$ edit/tpu[/nosection]/nodisplay/command=myedits.tpu mydata.dat
I use the /init qualifier to pass in a string (and replace
eve$dcl_init_file_logic with a blank procedure in my TPU command file).
formt := edit(get_info(command_line,'initialization_file'),collapse,upper);
compile('procedure eve$dcl_init_file_logic endprocedure;');
You can also translate logical names in TPU after a fashion with file_parse.
Writing TPU code is a non-trivial exercise though: if you don't already know
the language you may do better using another method.
