Here in the UK, Cognos ran a *free* Y2K testing service: send them 100
Powerhouse source files, and they'd put them through Power2000 for you,
and tell you the results, obviously in the hope you'd use the results to
justify buying the product.
I was quite impressed (a) that Cognos did something for free, and (b) that
Power2000 identified all the Y2K issues so well. Unfortunately, since it
didn't identify anything new that we hadn't spotted, it just gave us that
warm glow of a job well done, rather than a need to buy: but that's fair
enough - well done Cognos.
