having problems deleting from ksam in qtp

box: hp3000 os: mpe/ix 5.5  ph:ver. 8.19c2


2 problems:

1. OUTPUT CLIBUS DELETE  <- statement i am using
    in the execution section in the stdlist its
telling me the records have been deleted but when I
look in the file the records have not been deleted and
size of the file stays the same


2.  is there a way I can continue processing in qtp
when I do the following and get a error:

statement:
 OUTPUT nicktemp UPDATE ON ERRORS REPORT
 ITEM CLIBUS-WE-DATE FINAL NEW-CLIBUS-DATE
 ITEM WEND-DATE FINAL NEW-WEND-DATE

error:
Data conversion error.
