Century Options in 710G2

In our systems our default and input century options are set up for business
dates. In which case we do not need to worry about dates prior to 1970.
However, for our HR system that records birth dates and hire dates, the
needs are different. Therefore, we set up the defaults and windowing to
support the majority and then force century to avoid errors in the minority.

Subject: Century Options in 710G2
For those who are familiar with the system options for the year 2000
new
features, could someone explain why you would force a century when
you've
entered a default 'input century' value and a 'from year' value? If
you
are forcing the user to enter the century, then why enter a value
for the
century to default to when the user types in a year?
