error message - more info please

A question has come up in another listserver requesting info on the
following message 

"*d* There are too many external procedures or SUSPEND
programs.SCREEN1.QK.ACCT".

I've looked for the message but am unable to locate it and read the
explanation and resolution for it.  Can someone shed some more light on it?
 Is there a table that can be increased to solve this problem.  The word is
that COGNOS is not going to fix it.  Have others experienced the same
problem and how did you "fix it".

This is for the MPE/iX systems and is received within different versions of
QUICK.
