termtype for batch quick

We use vt100. The log file for the job contains the control codes that
normally direct the terminal to place output, including INFO and ERROR
messages at certain locations on the screen. Sometimes the messages are
hard to read when looking at the log file with a normal text editor. It
would be nice if there was a terminal type that could be used in batch that
wouldn't include control codes in output. Of course that terminal type
couldn't be used interactively, but who would try? It would make log files
easier to read.

For running Quick in a batch job what termtype should I use to produce
the least amount of nonsense?
