PDL and Allbase (HP3000): manual-less in Massachusetts

Q S H O W   (XL7.09.E1)P     Level 999 on the HP3000

Can someone help me understand this error in QSHOW:

*W* Allbase/SQL START DBE error (PBDBE.DBE)
A general exception has occurred during operation 'attach database'.
(SQL_GENERAL)
No matching profile found in the AliasDB file.  (DBERR 27002)
Local database connection failed with DBERR 3071.  Remote access attempted.

(DBWARN 29007)

I was performing a SHOW RECORD PATTERN "string".

Also, I'd love just to chat with a user who understands the ins and outs of
 the connection between PDL and Allbase.
