Interbase Version 5/PowerHouse/HP-UX - what is happening?

Does anyone know what is happening with InterBase Version 5 for PowerHouse
on HP-UX.  We would like to upgrade from Version 4 to Version 5 of InterBase
for some of its features but have conflicting information as follows:-

1.  The InterBase web site states that for HP-UX, version 4 of InterBase is
a past release and won't be supported after December 1998 (implying that one
should move to the current release which is Version 5 very soon!).

2.  Cognos Support in Sydney (from whom we obtain Interbase product and
support) say that at this stage they won't support Version 5 (and December
1998 is rapidly approaching!).

Does anyone know what the future holds for InterBase Version 5 on
PowerHouse/HP-UX  (both in the immediate and medium term)?
