As far as I'm aware 8.13 is to provide Y2K support. But isn't that missing the point. Regardless of
what the release has in it - it should work. I have to admit that in my experience with Powerhouse
(about 10 years), many of the releases have left quite a bit to be desired, at least two being so bad
we weren't able to use them. And as for support - I use it very infrequently as the standard
response seems to go along the lines of "Send us a ten line example of the problem and we'll look at
it for you". I can sympathise that support would not be an easy area, with the multitude of platforms
and releases, but perhaps Cognos might look at putting the effort into support that they put into
marketing and things might improve.

on the issue. I have been using PowerHouse for only the past 5.5 years.
I've yet to be disappointed with features, performance or support.
What exactly is in v. 8.13 and not in v. 7 that would make one want to
move?
