Hi there

I went to a users conference resently at cognos told us that they have 3
kind of PH users:
1. Those who want to go to another development tool.
2. Those who want to keep their PH.
3. And those who want to upgrade to the windowsversion.

They didīnt mension a fourth group - those who want to learn and use PH as
their new
programming langue. I guess thatīs because they dont have any or...? And
that the
new customers probably want to use Axiant 2.0. - the rest go back to 3GL!
Me impression is that Cognos just want to support their current PH users
and then
wait for them to extinct.

If Cognos just want to focus on their current customers, PH will very soon
be'old technology'.
I our company we belong to the first group of PH users. We are about to
change our whole system into a Javabased system, but we still would have
to maintain our PH a least the next 3 years.
