Creating Tab Delimited Files

I have been trying to create a tab delimited file for upload to another
system.  I'm able to get the tabs in the file fine, but when I use
PACK(TRUN(REPLINE)), it leaves a trailing blank on some of the fields.
Is there an easy way to get rid of these extraneous blanks?  The output
file is a QUIZ subfile with REPLINE = char*196.
