The client here has pulled the plug on moving to 7.10.G awhile back.
Unexpected migration issues from the Vax to the Alpha and cross platform
interface testing have added a lot delay. There has been a window of time
that has opened up that could possibly bring us past the release date of
7.10.G. For some time now the release was supposed to come in June. It is
now the 23rd of June. It is crutial that we find out the release date. I
have a meeting this afternoon with management and I am going to reopen the
issue. I need to know times in order to sell these guys on the Y2K
enhancements. I attended the Y2K enhancement presentation at the
conference. It's not a matter of knowing what the product can do for us it
is a matter of keeping our support freeze to a minimum. Days are crutial.
I need to know how long after the release will it be shipped. At this point
the answer is no as a consultant I have to strongly recommend going to G but
I need some help from Cognos on this one.
