Not much help to your problem, but when I went from 5.26 to 7.29, the
SETQKGO asked me if I wanted to create default TIC files. Not knowing what
they were, I said yes, and that seemed to create all sorts of problems with
terminals hanging. I deleted the KSAM files that were created and normality
returned.
