Upgrade from 7.29 to 8.19

Hello Mikael,

We had a Canadian customer at our offices in Ottawa last week upgrading
their 6.19 application directly to 8.19 - with absolutely no problems.
In fact, they finished their work a lot quicker than they expected and
went home early. So, upgrading from 7.29 to 8.19 should (as intended) be
a simple recompile. A number of our field test sites did just this.

Is it worth the effort? Certainly. Version 8.19 is the first build for
the MPE/iX platform which is both Year 2000 compliant itself and has
been built and tested on the Year 2000 compliant version of the
operating system, MPE/iX 5.5 Express Patch 4. It also includes a number
of Year 2000 enhancements, which have been well documented elsewhere.

We released 8.19 to our manufacturing process last week, and so it will
be shipped out to all currently supported customers over the coming
weeks.
