"POW" is a SYMBOL in the OpenVMS world. On our machines it points to a DCL
file called PHD_LOCATION:PHDRUN.COM. The help info in this DCL file is as
follows:

This command invokes the PowerHouse main menu screen,
from which you can run any of the PowerHouse components.

Your terminal type may be entered as a parameter to
     bypass prompting for this information.

Another option on the POW command is the security option.
Enter one of USER | AMGR | DMGR, to skip over the
PowerHouse Menu and move you directly to the basic PhD
Menu (USER), the Application Management Menu (AMGR), or
the Dictionary Management Menu (DMGR), providing you have
the access to the dictionary at the necessary security
     level.

The DCL file calls QUICK to run PDQKGO.QKG.

"QKECHO" is an OpenVMS logical that PH recognises when defined to copy
terminal input to whatever file it points to. E.g. DEFINE qkecho test.txt.

"QKIN" is an OpenVMS logical that PH recognises when defined to read
terminal
input from. E.g. DEFINE qkin test.txt.

If QKIN is defined and the "POW" command is issued, the commands captured in
TEST.TXT will be executed in the PHD.
