Database type odbc....

We did ODBC for a while. There are lots of small details that must be working perfectly for the stars to align. Think of this as a two step process: PH to ODBC and then ODBC to the database. I recommend looking for an ODBC driver that works with Postgresql. The PH to ODBC should be standard interface. However, there my be unique data types available in the database that the ODBC driver cannot translate properly and thus you may have problems. It took me a lot of experimentation to get everything working well.
Good Luck!

Don’t know if this went through the first time.

I honestly don’t know. It’s been a very long time. Checking the supported environment document from 2012 says that ODBC is DataDirect 5.2 to MS SQL Server with additional support for DataDirect 5.3, 6.0, and 6.1 also to MS SQL Server.
I don’t recall whether anything else was ever tested nor whether any customers tried anything else. I also don’t know if the DataDirect driver is compiled in or can be changed, but I doubt it.
Maybe someone out there can provide a better answer.
