Installing Powerhouse 8.43g on Linux - Issue with Oracle

Your dictionary should have something like: open ORACLE at OPS\$$LOGNAME.  I recall having an issue with that. I don’t recall the error message it gave.  

There is a note in one of the manuals – probably the installation guide.

Hi Krikor,

 

One reason for this could be a missing 32-bit library. Ours are located in: /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/client_1/lib32.

Hi Hans,

 

Interesting this looks like an error if no error is found, our case was due to Oracle the language setting was correct. 

 

Now we are having problems accessing Oracle, '*W* SQL START DBE error' we have Oracle 12.2.0.1 and looking into it. If anyone has some insight I would appreciate if you can share it.

Have a look in the /usr/cognos/ph843g/bin/coglangtab file and check with your LANG-setting. If you miss the value for your LANG-setting in the coglangtab-file, you may ask Unicom Support to provide you with a new coglangtab-file. At least this is how we solved this issue, while migrating to Linux.

After installation and when I run any components, I get the following error, does anybody experienced the same issue and do you know how to fix it?
