SIGNONUSER variable not being set

HI All
  Currently we are busy doing an upgrade of Powerhouse on linux system.
What we have picked up is that the SIGNONUSER is not being set , and therefore our quick screens , which use this variable do not work .

I have checked the manual about how the variable gets set ,it indicates it is derived from a linux logon ID .

Does anyone know which variable it specifically is ?
