In thhis case, unfortunately, they are running on an Alpha with open VMS V7.3-2.  Does not sound good, but thanks.  I will have to keep that in mind for future reference.

If your customer is not on Windows but is on UNIX or Linux you can use our TurboIMAGE/Eloquence libraries and tell Power house it is using Eloquence.  You will then also need some ODBC products that we can identify.  It should then be possible to access the SQL Server database hosted on a Windows platform.   It is part of our Transport Migration Toolset http://modernization.xformix.com/?page_id=422

Subject: Accessing SQL Server tables from Powerhouse

I just started a new client that is trying to migrate to a new system from their current system written, mostly in Powerhouse.  One of several reason for making this migration is that they have not found a way to access their SQL Server database from Powerhouse.  Some how, I cannot believe that this should be all that much of a challenge.

Can anyone out there offer some guidance on how to do this?  I think it should be straight forward and done through the dictionary as it does for other databases.

Thanks for any help on this.
