Anyone using QKVIEW on a Windows platform (8.41G) ?

List wisdom needed.

First off, I have read the fine manual.

Is anyone  using QKview in a windows environment? I am trying to use it in
the 'network application' mode, so far with no success.

I have 8.41g loaded on a Server 2008, which also has the Eloquence database.

I have a base system running, with the appropriate QKGO file, so that I
have no problem running QUICK on the server.

What magic incantation must I use to use QKview on a client workstation?

Right now, I get a 'Data access error. (USER'DTL*01)?REMOTE: Unable to
connect server [-700:-2]

The configuration values for the QKview on the client are:

Quick program parameters:  auto=\\ykapp92p\foambin\qkgo.qkg
dict=\\ykapp92p\foambin\dfsphd.pdc

Working directory:  \\ykapp92p\foambin

Quick executable:  %PH_LOCATION%\quick.exe

Application banner image: %PH_LOCATION%\QKView\Cognos_PH4GL.jpg

Application background image:  'blank'

Network server:  \\ykapp92p

Server port: 'blank'

Windows Server checkbox 'checked'

Is the quick executable being picked from the client? I tried using the
\\ykapp92p\ prefix to this parameter but Qkview complained.


Is it worth the bother to use QKview as opposed to just Remoting into the
Server and running quick there?
