That's strange. Normally system tables should be excluded automatically as
per the documentation. What version of SQL Server are you using?

Subject: Excluding system views/tables from 'show rec' in QSHOW ?
Sent by: powerh-l-bounces+bob.deskin=ca.ibm.com at lists.sowder.com
Does anyone know of a way to exclude the system views when doing a ‘show
rec’ in QSHOW 8.41G (Windows platform)?
I have a relational db (SQL Server) which has the standard ‘dbo’ schema,
but a ‘show rec’ will also list all the views (sys, INFORMATION_SCHEMA …),
and will issue an error message when it comes across a ‘record’ that is
greater than 32768.
I tried using ‘pattern’ and ‘to’ but to no avail. Show rec patt “dbo@” in
xyzdb will not return anything.
Thanks
