Explanation error message

Hi Bob,

I already checked the QKINFO.TXT file, but didn't find the error in
here. It is kind of hard to tell wether it also happens when only one
user is online, most of the time the're over 150 users online... ;)

The file is actually opened 5 times in the same screen, (primary,
detail, secondary and 2 designers). All files are opened on their own
channel (open N). We already warned the users about the complexity of
this screen, but they demand extra functionality in the screen every
time.. ;(

Everybody thanks a lot for the info, I'll just take on the challenge and
keep searching and debugging to find out where the recordpointer is
lost. ;)

Have you checked the QKINFO.TXT file? There may be an explanation there.
I don't have easy access to the file for 7.10 and the same message does
not appear in 8.40.

That said, your suspected explanation does make sense. Does this ever
happen when there's only one user on the system?

Hello everybody,
 
I wonder if there is anybody who can explain the next Powerhouse (QUICK
to be more precise) message for me:
 
The record being updated is currently unavailable. (LO-UITL-VERW*01)
 
We know it's no locking-problem, but we don't really understand the
error. 
We are working with Powerhouse 7.10G1 and OpenVMS V7.3-1. The only thing
we can think of, is that we search for (and find) a record
(LO-UITL-VERW), do some other IO and then try to update the record we
found earlier. At this point we guess our filepointer doesn't point to
the found record anymore, hence the error.
 
Is our assumption correct and is there anyone who can confirm this
and/or help us out? If we know what the error message stands for, we can
find the actual error in the sourcecode.
