Screen display problem on return

Hi All,
I got my ghost screen display issue fixed but now a new (related?) issue is giving me fits.
I call a screen, data is entered. During the update procedure, I call a second screen passing a record structure and some temps to put in more data. In screen 2, the user does an update and returns to the first screen where we check to make sure that the required data was entered. If not entered then we do a rollback, otherwise complete the update and push find.
All working just fine, the problem is the second screen is still being displayed on top of the first one! I have tried putting an explicit RETURN at the end of the second screen's update and there is no difference in the behavior. This is the only screen in our system where processing is done on a second screen during an update procedure from a calling screen.
Refresh All does not seem to have any effect. the documentation says I need to run Quick using the restore = lines program parameter but I cannot find an example. We run a pretty vanilla setup with a standard qkgo file that I am very hesitant to disturb.
I'm sure there is something simple I am overlooking (or have forgotten)!
