posting on same....

I have personally worked for the client and if anybody on the list would like

I am forwarding this out to the list server in case there is anyone out there 
who is looking for a contract.
 
This is a 3 month contract to start but there is a good chance it will be 
extended.
Sounds like they are outsourcing to a java development outfit, so then the 
contract could be extended indefinitely as far as I am concerned…lol
I gather this can be a remote contract.
 
Anyone interested, give this guy a call.

Primary Skills: Powerhouse Developer,  DEC VAX VMS Platform. 
Description: Our Client - Healthcare related firm seeks a Consultant with 
expertise in Powerhouse. The individual should be well versed with the 
following:
This person possesses the following strengths:
* Able to work LARGE projects (over 100 pieces of code) which involve complex 
screen changes, write data update processes, and complex reports/extracts, 
database changes, etc.
* Been using Powerhouse for minimum 5 years, preferably 10 years and fully 
understand Powerhouse Syntax, Constructs, and Rules.
* Strong background with relational databases (especially Oracle
RDB) and how the Powerhouse language works with them.
* Understands database security & locking mechanisms & transaction modeling.
* Working knowledge of OpenVMS operating system and DCL Command Language.
* Able to write Design Documents, Manage timelines
* Able to take a project from start to finish (requirements, design, coding, 
testing, documentation)
* Able to hand off work to other developers in modules and make sure the coding 
meets criteria in the design


 
  Rate: DOE,  Job Type: Contract,  Total Exp: 5-10 years,  Start Date: 1 Week, 
 Duration: 3-4 Months,  Number Of Openings: 3,  Location: IL or AZ
