Continued Support of PowerHouse

Maybe this is where those "rumors" I've been hearing are coming from.
Darren is correct. This refers to the HPe3000-MPE/iX version ONLY. Why?
Because HP is ending all support as well. When HP announced the end of the
HPe2000 in 2001, they gave it 5 years to end of life. We continued to
produce versions for the MPE/iX platform including features specifically
aimed at MPE/iX as well as at customers who wanted to migrate. Support for
Eloquence comes to mind. When HP extended their support timeline, we
extended ours. When HP said that the end of 2010 would be the end of
support, we made that our end of support. Note that this is direct
development support the MPE/iX platform. It has nothing to do with any
other platform.
As for the other platforms, we have continually released versions with
updated conformance, maintenance fixes, and new features. The 8.4xD
version was released in 2004. Since then we have released 8.4xD1 in 2005,
8.4xE in 2007, 8.4xF in 2009, and our latest, 8.4xG in March 2010. And
we're hard at work on the next version.

Dear PowerHouse List
In a recent HP3000-related news post, at:
http://3000newswire.blogs.com/3000_newswire/2010/07/speedware-portfolio-gains-powerhouse-tool.html
This was reported:
"For more than two decades in the 3000 market, Speedware and Cognos
competed for business in what were called Fourth Generation Languages. But
the companies took very different development routes once HP announced its
exit from the marketplace. Cognos last released a major version of
PowerHouse in 2004 with the 8.4 release. The company was purchased by IBM
in 2008, and the Automated Development Tools group accounts for a small
fraction of Cognos sales today. Cognos announced it will end active
support for PowerHouse on Dec. 31."
Has anyone here heard about this? Can anyone confirm or deny the part in
italics?
