That's just one of the reasons that I decided long ago to download/ftp
any program that I wanted to edit to my PC/laptop and then use Notepad or
Wordpad.  I constantly have to switch platforms on various contracts.  I
started out on the DEC using VMS, then moved to the HP3000, and then to
the HP9000.  Instead of trying to operate in 3 different editors and
trying to remember the commands for each, all I have to remember is how
to download/upload/transfer (usually using Reflection) and how to use
Notepad for most files and Wordpad for the larger ones.

Working from home and all I got is this laptop- no keyboard with a PF1
key AKA "Gold" so I'm swimming around in 3000 line Quick programs
without any Find, Learn, multiple Buffers, etc..for EVE EDitor....
 
Can anyone, please, tell me how to simulate this on a typical laptop?
There must be some combo of Esc and other stuff so I can use F8=PF1 for
Gold so I can enter EVE commands?
