Embedded Logos etc

I managed to accomplish this with OpenVMS (I don't know a lot of UNIX).
This was created to work specifically for HP laser printers.
1) Create a binary form of the logo (something in PCL language)
2) Define a printer form and include the binary logo in the page setup macro on this form.
3) Print a text document using the defined form.
Sure this is not a UNIX answer, and it is rather vague in specifics, but it might trigger some ideas.

Hi Stephen:
I used to use Jetform for that sort of thing.
If there is an escape sequence in the Printer Control Language to cause a picture
to be printed then you could embed that sequence in your Quiz code.
A rugged approach:- Print the logo on paper then send the paper through the
print again this time printing the text.

All,
We are producing a text file out of our Powerhouse application and utilize Unix printing for the output.
And we have a client who wants to embed a company logo, gif or jpeg into a text document.
Does any one have experience or examples of how this can be done?
Thank you
Stephen McCartney
