Linking 'C' to Quick OpenVMS

OK, Powerhouse aficionados:
 
What the hey is wrong with the following (Per the PH  manual of course):
 
I have a C subroutine called cedit (cribbed from manual) which I want to call from my CTS_CALL_C main Quick screen
 
So
 
cc cedit
 
library/create cedit cedit
 
buildexternal /share cedit cedit
 
CTS_ROOT:[WORK.PENNYJ]QKDRIVER.EXE;2            10   8-SEP-2009 16:40:09.26
 
quick auto=cts_call_c

I realize this is probably child's play, but after an hour of d..king with this I have had enough.
