Hi John:
I noticed that HP OpenVMS is support with Websphere MQ 6.0 but
not with Websphere MQ 7.0!

Now, that PowerHouse is an IBM product it would be nice if they integrated
it into Websphere.
Regards,
Peter

I would suggest getting acquainted with it using a platform and a language that you are already familiar with. For example, if Windows and Microfocus COBOL are things you are familiar with start with those. It comes with a lot of examples that work out of the box. You can use those plus a ton of free literature that is out there in the ether to become familiar with how things work when communicating between two machines using MQ. The bad news is that it is a big topic. The good news, if this is the same database replication thing you were asking about before, is that you only need to use the a simple subset of its capabilities.
Good luck.

Hello fellow Listers:
Well, having the square root of zero experience with the above tool (MQ Series) but a good deal with OpenVMS and of course Powerhouse, can anybody share their experiences and or gotchas in installing, configuring, running this utility. A big topic I realize. Have a client who is driving forward at warp speed to use this communications solution.
TIA
Any help acknowledged and appreciated.
