Hi Ron,

I doubt there are any companies specialising in PowerHouse any more.

I’d say (but then, I would) that a good bet would be to get a couple of good contractors

In to scope and control the job and get your staff to join in the fun.

There are code differences, but they’re not as big or important as

a) The changes to JCL commands you’ll need to make and

b) The changes to data access definitions and calls, assuming you’ll take advantage

of database technology and SQL in the new code.

HTH

Dave, available at surprisingly reasonable rates…

Hi All,

Is anyone aware of a company in the UK that offers a powerhouse conversion service.

The company I work with are thinking of moving from HP3000's(MPEX) to HP9000's(UNIX).

Is there much difference between the source code syntax on both machines

Any advice would be appreciated

Cheers

Ron
