2Gig limitation for QTP - does it still apply?

Hi Listers, 
 
We have got the 'Insufficient disk space for sort' in a Qtp-program, and the sort file is indeed over the 2 gigabyte limit. We have already tried pointing the sort file to a file system with large files, and limited the size of the record complex to be sorted to the absolute minimum, but to no avail.
 
Environment: IBM AIX QTP 8.23
 
So - does the 2 gigabyte limitation still apply for newer versions of PowerHouse?
