QUTIL replaced PHDFM in 8.30 and subsequent versions. This was documented
in the 8.30 upgrade guide.

Subject:
Missing PHDFM
I am at a client that is using version 8.40.D1 of PowerHouse on a VMS box.
They use a directory containing a coy of all of the file in their
PowerHouse dictionary. When they get a new client, they simply copy all
of these file over the the new directory for the new client and they are
off and running. The problem came when they got a new client/customer,
and found that nearly all of these empty files were missing. That is over
400 files.
I was asked how to recreate these empty files. Their first thought was to
go into the Dictionary and do a create on each file. That would be pretty
time consuming and open to the risk of missing however many along the way.
My suggestion was to use PHDFM driven by a text file containing the names
of all of these files all done through DCL. I have done this sort of
thing before and it runs fairly quickly.
Now for my problem, When I type in PHDFM I get the following error
message:
K-EBDS_V2 $ phdfm
Error activating image PH_LOCATION:PHDFMA710G4
Image file not found
_KINER$DKB0:[COGNOS.POWERHSE.][840D1.PH_COMMON]PHDFMA710G4.EXE;
They have a full development license on this box, so I should think
getting to PHDFM should be no big deal. Any ideas on how I can get to
PHDFM? Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
John Stires
