I use TextPad and the powerhouse.syn file. I don't think it's the hyphen.
Rather I think it's looking at each token that's separated by an operator
or special character. For example, I entered
file test-this primary
and test-this is not coloured. Whereas if I enter
file test-file primary
-file is coloured blue presumably because the word/token "file" is in the
list of syntax.

Subject:
Textpad not recognizing ‘-‘ in identifier
Hi all:
I have allowed '-' to be a valid character in an identifier in the PDL.
However, Textpad does not recognize this. Instead
it recognize '-' as an operator.
In the following example '-MASTER' is colored blue where as MANUAL
is colored black.
File MANUAL-MASTER designer alias MASTER_DES
Has anyone managed with modification to PowerHouse.Syn to get
Textpad to recognize '-' as both an arithmetic operator and as an
embedded
character in an identifier.
Thanks,
Peter Bateman
