Not sure if anyone is interested in this service, but I thought I would
offer it to all the members.

If anyone is interested in converting their existing powerhouse application
from HP, VAX or even DGI to Powerhouse for Windows, Unix or Linux. I have

extensive experience in this area and can convert your application very
quickly.

I have built a Migration toolset that allows me to automate parts of the
conversion process which reduces the conversion from one platform to another
drastically.

This Migration application is similar to the Cognos PHD application on a
Vax, it allows me to not only maintain Usages, Elements and Records.

It also has the ability to:

a) Generate PDL and SQL data definitions

b) Generate Unload/Load scripts for data migration.

c) Allows changes of field/record names from '-' to either mixed case or '_'
depending on your preference.

d) It keeps track of OLD/NEW names so that the generated UPLOAD/LOAD scripts
handle all field changes.

e) It generates source code replacement scripts from old names to new names

I have also built a Powerhouse System Management application that:

a) Allows me run on HP MPE, VAXVMS, UNIX, LINUX and WINDOWS without any code
changes

b) Runs the application using ISAM, Eloquence and Oracle.

c) Provides Security down to the Field level using individuals or groups.

d) Provides a dynamic menu system

e) Provides a Compile script generator

f) Creates job scripts on-the-fly and creates separate folders for each
User/Job.

g) Has a dynamic on-line help system

h) Allows jobs to be run interactively or submitted to a batch queue.

I personally:

a) Have been working in Powerhouse since 1986 (exclusively).

b) Have been converting Powerhouse applications from HPMPE, VAX and even DG
to UNIX since 1994.

c) Have been converting Powerhouse applications to Powerhouse for Windows
since 2003.

f) Am a Cognos Migration partner.

g) Have Powerhouse running currently on Windows XP/Server 2003, IBM AIX
using UNIX as well as a Linux server running Fedora 7.

My partners:

a) Have been working in Powerhouse since 1990.

h) Have Powerhouse running currently on Windows XP/Server 2003, HPUX as well
as HP3000

Let me know if anyone is interested in this service.

Ken
