Function keys & labels 8.41E

It's handled semi-automatically. If you want to see the function key
labels, you use the consolekeys program parameter that tells QUICK to
display the function keys across the bottom of the screen. It is below the
standard 24 line screen so it doesn't take up any screen real estate. Note
that QUICK is just painting the keys, you can't click on them. But they
will work by pressing the keyboard function keys.

The consolekeys program parameter is documented in the latest Rules book.

Function keys & labels 8.41E

Hi All:

PowerHouse 8.41E

If there’s one thing that PowerHouse 4GL for Windows customers have been
asking for, it’s function key support. The new version will provide QUICK
command support for function keys similar to what is available through HP
terminals and terminal emulators. This means that dynamic function key
definitions can be specified using the KEY statement, including function
key labels.

Does this mean we increase the size of the DOS window to 26 lines or is
this handled automatically by QUICK?
i.e. 24 lines of screen followed by 2 lines for labels.

Thanks,
Peter
