Converting v7x .sfd's to v8?

Are there any quick and dirty methods of converting a subfile dictionary
created under v7x to be usable under v8?

I know the long way of using v7 to create a portable subfile and then
re-creating it under v8. That can be a bit of a pain because you have to put
in a define for numeric fields if you want them to come out the same size.
