Thanks to all that have responded with the answer to the problem.

Yes, shortening the command to the first 4 characters works; i.e.
ORDE-10/11.

Cheers,
Peter

Subject: Calling designer procedures from Action field with multiple
lines

Hi All,

Having problems when calling a designer procedure from the action field
against multiple cluster lines; i.e. ORDER-10/11. When I call the
designer procedure for the single line everything works fine but when I
select multiple lines in a cluster I get the error "Too many characters
were entered for this field". I have several designer procedures on the
screen and some work and some give this error. I even have two that are
almost identical other than they call different subscreens yet one works
and the other doesn't.

Does anyone know what this message realty means and what is causing it?

Powerhouse Version: Unix 8.43.D1

Cheers,
Peter
