Field POPUP options

After adding a popup field to a quick screen, I was asked  "Can I hit enter once and have the note start at another line, so that we can put a date then the comment, then a line space and a new comment." makes sense from a user perspective
 
I am pretty sure this is not possible and discussed with a colleague who suggested that this is a user training issue and I suspect he is right (Thanks Harry). 
 
Anyone have a work around for this?
