The Architect

I was looking at the entry for Powerhouse on Wikipedia, and was
wondering where it would fit best in this page:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4GL

I've always been intrigued by compiler design, and I remember using
something called 'metacompiler' on the Hp3000, which was able to parse
powerhouse source, and sequence the order of compilation of QTP and
QUIZ modules based on the dependencies of subfiles.

They had obviously gone to some effort to analyze source code (I
vaguely remember the name MTI for that company). I was curious how one
would classify the grammar of Powerhouse, and its type of parser.

There is an overview page of categories of parsers at wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parser

Can you shed light on the subject Bob?
