The Architect

The Architect was de-commissioned by Cognos some time ago.
I worked for a company called Linian System a long time ago and I added
functionality to the original Prototyper option to make the code more
readable.
It was never ported to other platforms so it would be almost obsolete by now
anyways.

I recently inquired about it and found that the code was locked up in a
vault some where. So I decided to create my own.
I am about 80% complete on the dictionary maintenance side, The prototyper
would be easy to add later.
The reason I created it was to generate PDL/SQL for any platform/any
database.
I have added a migration option as well that creates conversion scripts for
source code, and unload/load scripts for data.

Once all the PDL is loaded up there is virtually nothing you can't do with
the application.

John,

The output looks like that of "Architect", a Powerhouse tool I last saw on
HP 3000 in 1990. Does anyone remember what happened to the product?
