We test the DO External using a C++ routine so we have no direct 
experience with Acucobol. I'm assuming you've been through the 8.41E 
QDESIGN manual section on DO EXTERNAL for Windows. I expect that it would 
use the C mechanism, but if that doesn't work, try PASCAL just in case. If 
nothing works, contact Customer Support.

I have been running PH Windows since 2003 and I cannot run a DO EXTERNAL 
command without putting the command in a batch file.
A simple copy statement will not work as expected. I even had to create a 
mv2src.bat file to do a simple copy to the SRC folder.
 
Have you tried moving the call to the Acucobol program into a bat file and 
using a “RUN COMMAND whatever.bat”?
