       Hi Frank:

          Why is there a ':' in your procloc= option?

           quick auto=menu procloc=/home/huizinga/build:/home/huizinga

       I would try the following:-

       MYPROCLOC=quick auto=menu procloc=/home/huizinga/build/home/huizinga
      export MYPROCLOC
       quick auto=menu procloc=$MYPROCLOC
        Regards,
        Peter
