This is great. Now does anyone have an example of how to create a
portable subfile? I don't mean what the manual says. I mean a REAL
WORLD Example. Thee manual, at least the one I have, is very vague on
the subject.

I am pleased to announce we have just released for beta-testing an
open-source portable subfile to CSV conversion Utility. The program,
called Psf2Csv, will convert a portable subfile into a comma-,
semicomma-, or tab-delimited file. You can download a Windows zip file
from here (scroll to the bottom of the page):

http://sewardconsulting.com/product

The zip file contains a Windows executable as well as the Python source,
the open source license agreement, a readme file, and an example. To get
started with Psf2Csv, unzip the download file into its own directory and
refer to the readme for details on how to use it.

Please send any feedback to us via our contact page:

P.S. We plan to release an HP/9000 Unix version in the near future. We
are also currently in the process of developing a utility, to be called
Csv2psf, for doing the reverse (i.e. converting a CSV file into a
portable subfile).

Thanks,
