Richard,
I've occasionally used the trick of incrementing a time-field by 1 (.01
seconds) in order to force UPDATE and PREUPDATE.
(Just wondering if you're Canadian, with the reference to "Powerhoose"!)
Thanks.

What if they do no update? We have screens where it is permissable to do
that.
The screen in question kicks off a batch process. The user may, or may
not, perform other processes within the screen. We want them to kick the
batch process off before they exit.

It would be nice if there was a PREEXIT procedure available in QUICK. At
times, you want to do a final check of things before the user exits so
you can slap him upside the head if he forgot something. Unfortunately,
the EXIT procedure is not a good place to do much because Powerhoose has
shut down a lot of stuff in preparation for leaving the screen. A lot of
things won't work or won't work consistently.
Is there a workaround to replicate the functionality of a PREEXIT
procedure?
