HTML Generator

The rationale behind all of this discussion, as well as QKView, is
existing customers and VARs who want a better UI but who don't want to
re-architect their application. Unfortunately, moving from PowerHouse to
either Axiant or PH Web requires a degree of restructuring. It's usually
worse for PH Web because there are no subscreens.

While QKView is much better that character QUICK, it's still character
oriented, does not use standard controls, and so far is Windows only.

I just don't get why you want to build another interface. You already
have, like, four; character based PH, QKView, Axiant, and PH Web. If
people want to use HTML, use PH Web for intranets and the internet.
You've said before that PH Web creates standard HTML, so that means
any platform that has a standards supporting web browser is usable.
Not having used PHW, the problem I see is if the developer wants to
support character based terminals and web browsers.

Perhaps Greig had a better idea of adding or allowing for AJAX
abilities to PH Web. Perhaps translating a LOOKUP to AJAX code would
make the screen more interactive.
