Work demand for Powerhouse jobs......

I think Joe mentioned the work needed to help people move off the 
platform. This was also the issue ten years ago and Powerhouse still 
hasn't keen kicked out of the data centers yet.

I started a project to automatically convert Powerhouse code to Java a 
long time ago to meet the conversion need but dropped it because the 
storage back-ends for Java weren't mature enough.

I wouldn't underestimate the need the Powerhouse. MUMPS is still around too.

Flame wars on how "dead" Powerhouse is still ensue too I see on this 
list.  As long as Cognos still supports it people will still protect 
their Powerhouse code investment I am sure... but that's another discussion.
